The RESTORE Research Group at Western University has two PhD scholarships availiable to work on a Canadian Water Network project that will model and explore lead in water distribution systems. Students will be exposed to state of the art analytical instrumentation facilities available in Ontario and the US and advanced computer modeling programs. Applicant should have experience in either: (a) advanced chemical analytical techniques, or (b) water quality or geochemical computer modeling.
Full research funding is available for high quality candidates with relevant degrees, superior academic standing, excellent communication skills, and a keen interest for groundwater contaminant transport and remediation, water quality and groundwater-surface water interactions. Relevant academic, research, or industrial experience in the field is beneficial but not essential.
