The position is within experimental geophysics, funded to accommodate competence generated by the PGP in the permanent part of the University organization. The successful applicant will be expected to participate in research teams within the general scope of research at the Department of Geosciences.Researcher (SKO 1109), pay grade: 57 – 65 (NOK 468.100 – 542.600), depending on qualifications and seniority.

Applicant must have a doctoral degree and adequate post-doctoral experience. Preference will be given to young applicants with experience in multidisciplinary studies of solid Earth Systems and a strong background in experimental approaches to geological processes. Initial work at PGP will be concerned with hydromechanics and fracturing relevant to geological processes, and experience within this area will be an advantage.
