An exciting full-time or part-time opportunity to join the Onemda VicHealth Koori Health Unit, within the Centre for Health and Society, School of Population Health as a Principal Research Fellow in Social Health Determinants. The primary purpose of this position is to strengthen the work of Onemda and VicHealth in addressing the social and economic determinants of Indigenous Health, as they have been identified in the Victorian Aboriginal evidence-based health promotion resource, Life is health is life.

-PhD or other Higher Research Degree in a relevant field – Demonstrated academic expertise in the area of social and economic determinants of health, with an emerging reputation in your field -Record of achievement in receiving research funds such as competitive grants, consultancies and/or tenders – Demonstrated track record of national standing in a relevant field of research including publications in peer-reviewed journals – Demonstrated experience in supervising higher research degree students – Experience in working effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team – High-level written and oral communication skills – Demonstrated experience of working with communities (in particular Indigenous communities) to explore research priorities
