National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) invites application for round 6 of the NIHR fellowships Programme. This program is offered to those outstanding individuals who want to undertake people or patient-based clinical and applied health research at an institution in England (UK). The fellowship covers salary costs, training and development costs and research costs needed to complete an identified research project. Under this program five types of fellowships are available at different level i.e. training, PhD, postdoctoral and research.  Applicant should apply till 16th January 2013.. NIHR Fellowships support outstanding individuals to become the health research leaders of the future by buying out their salary costs, meeting their training and development costs and by contributing to the research costs needed to complete an identified research project. For this round, the NIHR Fellowships Programme is participating in the upcoming NIHR Primary Care Interventions Themed Call and would particularly welcome applications for research on the evaluation of health care interventions or services delivered in primary care settings. Further details about the NIHR Primary Care Themed Call will be available on the NIHR website in due course. The NIHR also particularly welcomes applications that focus on population-based research. Five levels of NIHR Fellowship award are available: -The Doctoral Research Fellowship -The Career Development Fellowship -The Post-Doctoral Fellowship -The Senior Research Fellowship -The Transitional Research Fellowship..  This scholarship is available for pursuing training, PhD, postdoctoral and research program.
The research areas of this scholarship are: Applications are invited from individuals working in any sector or scientific discipline who propose to undertake people or patient-based clinical and applied health research at an institution based in England.
Who can apply to this scholarship?
· Applicants for an NIHR DRF must be able to demonstrate that they have previous research experience and that they are prepared to undertake a PhD (research doctorate).
· Applicants for an NIHR
· PDF must either have a research doctorate (PhD or MD) in health
· related research at the time of application OR have submitted their doctoral thesis (leading to the award of PhD or MD) for examination.
· Applicants for an NIHR
· CDF must have a research doctorate (PhD or MD) in healthrelated research at the time of application and significant post
· doctoral research experience.  Professional or taught doctorates are not accepted as research doctorates.
· Applicants for NIHR
· SRF will have a research doctorate (PhD/DPhil or MD) in health
· related research. Professional or taught doctorates are not accepted as research doctorates.
· Applicants for a NIHR TRF must have a research doctorate (PhD or MD) at the time of application.  Professional or taught doctorates are not accepted as research doctorates.
· Fellowships are open to clinically and non
· clinically trained individuals working within the NHS or recognised HEIs.
