The aim of these awards is to provide training opportunities across the whole range of artistic disciplines in the fine and performing arts. Funding will be available for (a) Bursaries to encourage individuals to develop their talent and/or (b) Innovative teaching activity to support the artistic development of the students concerned. The Trust welcomes applications from all sectors of the fine and performing arts community, including (but not exclusively) music, drama, dance, film and fine art. The scheme will support arts training at any level; that is, from school-age children, to undergraduates and postgraduates.
Grants will be made to eligible institutions across the full range of the performing and fine arts. Such organizations will be specialist arts training institutions or registered charities which can demonstrate outstanding quality within their particular field. Institutions may make only one application for funding within each call, but funds may be requested for more than one type of artistic activity or form of financial support (e.g. summer school bursaries, postgraduate mentorships, innovative teaching for undergraduates, etc.). The applying organisation will be responsible for the selection and nomination of students for bursaries and for the selection and employment of teaching staff for innovative teaching activity.
