In this scholarship programme, attention is focused on “Europe” in particular, and the academic programmes, related to this subject. The idea behind this is that in Eastern Europe, countries as prospective members, newly added members or neighbours of the EU are in need of information on many aspects of the European Union. Academic knowledge and research facilities on a wide range of EU related topics are available at Leiden University.
– In prior academic education abroad, the student must have achieved excellent study results which are relevant for the programme for which the student wishes to enroll. Leiden University will only review the scholarship applications which are pre-selected by the Central European University, Budapest. – The CEU Praesidium Libertatis Scholarship is open for all nationalities (except the Dutch nationality). The student will not be eligible for support under the Dutch system of study grants and loans “Studiefinanciering”. – The student has been admitted (un)conditionally to a Master programme at Leiden University.
