2013 University of Sussex funded EPSRC Doctoral Studentships for UK/EU Students in the field of Mathematical Sciences, Engineering, Physical Sciences and ICT in UK. The University will be advertising the projects related to these scholarships in spring 2013.EPSRC supports excellent, long term research and high quality postgraduate training in Mathematical Sciences, Engineering, Physical Sciences and ICT. Awards will be linked to EPSRC’s strategic approach and applicants should be aware of the research council’s expectations.  This scholarship is available for pursuing postgraduate research degree level.

Who can apply to this scholarship? Applicants must hold at least a UK Upper Second Class Honours degree, or equivalent. The studentships will be awarded for a period of three and a half years.
· The awards are only available to UK/EU students, studentships will be payable at the equivalent of the UK/EU fee per annum for full time students and in the case of UK students will also include a maintenance grant (for information the expected 2013
· 14 rate is £13,726) to cover living expenses. Studentships are paid pro rata for part time students.
Benefits of the scholarship: 3.5 year awards including a fee contribution (~£3,924 p/a), a maintenance allowance (~£13,726 p/a).
