As part of the “CAFFEIN” Marie Curie Initial Researcher Training network, we are offering a PhD position for the cells using genetically modified mice. Rho GTPases are major regulators of the cytoskeleton, thus affecting migration, adhesion, cell-cell contacts, endocytosis and gene expression. Rho GTPases are expected to play a crucial role in the generation and tumor-promoting role of cancer associated fibroblasts. Using fibroblast-specific deletion of Rho GTPases in mice and the application of tumor models, we want to address this question directly.
-The researcher must not have resided or carried out his/her main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Denmark for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the time of recruitment. Compulsory national service and/or short stays (such as holidays) are not taken into account. -A strong biological / biochemical education and background. -An excellent Master thesis. -A high enthusiasm for cancer research using mouse models. -As the project is conducted in collaboration between different labs in the EU willingness to travel and fluency in English are required.
