A postgraduate scholarship is available for a suitably qualified candidate with a good honours or equivalent degree in engineering to undertake research studies leading to an MPhil in Fluid Engineering. The successful candidate will work on a project of computationally modeling the transport of pollutants and/or nutrients in natural water bodies such as reservoirs and lakes. The project will involve the coupling of a Computational Fluid Dynamics model for fluid flows under various thermal forcing conditions and a particle dynamics model for particular substances. The outcome of this research will lead to recommendations for water quality management.
Any commencing or current MPhil students enrolled in the University of Sydney may apply.
