Senior Women Academic Administrators of Canada (SWAAC) offers Graduate Student Award of Merit for women registered in Master’s or PhD programs at the University of British Columbia for the academic year of 2013. The SWAAC Graduate Student Award of Merit is open to international students, Canadian students and permanent residents . At least three awards, each in the amount of $2,500 awarded to the continuing students. To avail this opportunity submit your application by December 21, 2012.. At least three awards, each in the amount of $2,500, will be awarded annually to the women graduate students who have demonstrated outstanding leadership in the university or general community while maintaining exemplary academic records.The Faculty of Graduate Studies will appoint a Selection Committee to nominate one eligible person to the national-level competition. UBC may nominate a student to the national competition every four years..
