National Advanced Placement Scholar Standing is granted to students in Canada with an average grade of at least 4 on all AP exams taken and grades of 4 or higher on five or more full-year (or equivalent) course exams.United States National Advanced Placement Scholar Standing is granted to students in the United States with an average grade of at least 4 on all AP exams taken and grades of 4 or higher on eight or more full-year (or equivalent) course exams. International Advanced Placement Scholar standing is granted to the one male and the one female student attending an American international school outside the US and Canada (not a DoDEA school) with the highest grades on the greatest number of AP exams. The minimum requirement is a grade of 3 or higher on three full-year (or the equivalent) course exams.

Candidates must: •be entering an undergraduate degree program from high school at the University of Alberta in September 2012 •achieve one of the top 50 AP Diploma final scores
