Canon Collins Trust invites applications for scholarships to pursue postgraduate study in South Africa in 2014. The students of Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia, Zimbabwe can apply for these scholarships. To apply for a scholarship under this programme applicant must be studying or applying to study at a South African university. Scholarships of up to R50,000 per academic year for scholars at Master’s and PhD level. The application deadline is 4th August 2013.. Canon Collins Trust invites applications for scholarships for postgraduate study in South Africa in 2014. We will provide funding for up to a maximum of two years for Master’s and three years for PhD. Continued funding depends upon satisfactory progress and academic reports. Canon Collins scholarships are not full scholarships and funding depends on the type of course you  are doing. Awards in 2013 were up to the value of ZAR 50,000. Awards in 2014 are likely to be similar..  Scholarships are available for pursuing master’s or doctoral degree level at South African university.

Who can apply to this scholarship? To apply for a scholarship under this programme you must be:
· A national of, or have refugee status, in one of the following countries: Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia, Zimbabwe
· Normally resident in one of the above countries
· In possession of a good first degree (minimum second class, upper division or equivalent) or about to graduate in the year of application
· Studying or applying to study at a South African university
Benefits of the scholarship:  Scholarships of up to R50,000 per academic year for scholars at Master’s and PhD level. We support both full and part-time study and will consider applications from those who wish to study by distance learning.
