The University of Edinburgh is offering scholarships for Chinese students. The scholarships are available for pursuing master degree level. The scholarships will be awarded to students accepted onto full-time one year masters programmes in any subject area at the University. 10 scholarships are offered for one academic year. Each scholarship which will be tenable for one academic year and will have a value of £5,000 which will be deducted from the tuition fees.. The University of Edinburgh will offer 10 Master’s scholarships for postgraduate study in any subject offered by the University for the 2014-2015 academic session. The Eric Liddell China Saltire Scholarship was set up in 2012 in memory of Eric Liddell who won the men’s 400 meters at the 1924 Summer Olympics in Paris. Eric Liddell loved China. He was born there in 1902 and spent his early years there. Following his university education at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland and his Olympic triumph in Paris, he returned to China to serve as a missionary. Each scholarship which will be tenable for one academic year will have a value of £5,000 which will be deducted from tuition fees..  The scholarships are available for pursuing master degree level at University of Edinburgh in UK.

Who can apply to this scholarship? The Eric Liddell Scholarships will allow candidates who are Chinese citizens who are permanent residents of mainland China at the time of applying to study on a one year Masters programme at the University of Edinburgh.
· The Scholarships will be awarded to students accepted onto full

· The scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit with candidates requiring the equivalent of a first
· class honours degree.
