A PhD position in structural engineering is available in the School of Engineering at UBC, Okanagan campus under the supervision of Dr. Shahria Alam. The student will work on an NSERC supported industrial research project. The applicant must have a masters degree in structural engineering field. The student should have good experiences with SAP 2000 (design, analysis), and its bridge design module or CSI Bridge. Previous experiences in Structural health monitoring, and programming languages will be considered as an asset. The successful applicant will receive around $21,000 per annum as a research assistantship.
